OZARK, MO— Remember the song, “That’s What Friends Are For?” By Dionne Warwick? Here is a link to that song.

Ozark R-VI Board of Education President Mark Jenkins is a prime example of a good friend. He’s what friends are for. If you don’t believe me, ask his friend, Matt Growcock.

Growcock (who has an even cooler last name than I do, my last name is Cockroft!) was hand-picked by Jenkins, his golfing buddy, to take the position so Growcock wouldn’t have to campaign in a regular election like the other non-friends of Jenkins will.

Here is another outside story about the appointment.

And onother here.

Why Matt Growcock is the best candidate for Ozark School Board

  1. He looks like a school board member should. He’s attractive, intelligent, looks good in a suit jacket. The district school board picture will be better off.
  2. He is familiar with being appointed. He was already appointed to the Fire Board without having to be elected.
  3. He is good at not running and working hard on a campaign.
  4. He is Mark Jenkins’ friend. Since Mark is leaving the school board, Matt will be a great extension of Mark’s policies and philosophies of following blindly whatever the school attorney says.
  5. He is Mark Jenkin’s friend.
  6. He is the one Mark told Amber and Dustin and Sarah to vote for.

Don’t forget to vote April 8

Click here for who is running.

Top left, Matt Growcock (already got the job) Top right Rae-Ann Wade, who doesn’t care about the job as long as there is unity and peace, Bottom left, Wade Wheeler, the only true thinking person running, and bottom right, incumbent Sarah Adams-Orr, who wants to be liked but can’t make a decision.

For those still in the race, facing the usual grind without benefit of a friend granting them free entrance onto the school board, remember, there are 2 open seats remaining to be filled at the April 8 election.

Incumbent Sarah Adams-Orr. She bowed out of the recent vote for an alternate candidate to Matt Growcock, citing a conflict of interest. She had every right to vote for Rae-Ann Wade, but that would have deadlocked the vote and we can’t have Mark Jenkins’ buddy left in the cold. So, she failed her friend Rae-Ann and marched forth with Mark’s friend instead.

Now, Rae-Ann has to campaign against Sarah and Wade Wheeler for two open seats. Sarah is the incumbent; she is supposed to win. She is as boring and weak as they come. She refuses to vote her conscience. Her face says it all during meetings. She talks to patrons and interested citizens afterwards and gets scolded, agrees with them to their faces and then comes back to her place and ignores the concerned citizens once again so she won’t ruffle any feathers on the clique. I mean, the school board.

Voting for Wade Wheeler is a vote for an independent voice who thinks for himself. Voting for Sarah or Rae-Ann is a vote for mediocrity and status quo.

No gain on either Rae-Ann or Sarah. Boring, useless place holders. So, Ozark, get Wade Wheeler in there and have another voice for the patrons instead of the establishment.
