Nose Ring Girl exclusive: Ugly rumors silenced!

OZARK, MO — We got it straight from the horse’s mouth: (or nose!)

Major Danny Cazier, a nationally credited JROTC instructor, was given the boot by Ozark R-VI School brass and board members during the 2021-22 school year, largely due to scuttlebutt swarming about him removing a nose ring from a female JROTC cadet at Ozark High School.

Some sources got loud on social media about it. One dude even insisted that Maj. Cazier was the “biggest bully” in Ozark School. The guy said he was a military recruiter at Ozark, but when nobody at the school could figure out who he was, the guy quickly backpedaled.

He maintained that several cadets had talked to him about witnessing the nose ring incident in November. But, nope, according to the only two people witnessing the incident — Maj. Danny and Nose Ring Girl herself, those were just outside speculators exercising their well-toned gossip muscles.

Nose Ring Girl EXCLUSIVE Interview with CCT

The Interrogation Table is a long, plastic fold up. A single 60 watt bulb hangs from a cobweb-laden chain. A musty odor emits from the cold concrete block walls as a 17-year-old girl is escorted into the room.

OK, a bit of exaggeration there. The interview took place on Facebook messenger, but it doesn’t pack the same visual wallop.

Anyway, here goes the transcript (somewhat revised: SCREENSHOTS FROM THE ACTUAL MESSAGES APPEAR AT THE END.)

The girl’s actual name is changed to Nose Ring Girl or (NRG) for the purposes of witness protection under Article IX, Section C of the Trumpet Truth Code.

COORDINATOR: Hello NRG and CCT. I’m writing this group message to connect the two of you. NRG has agreed to clarify with CCT via message what happened with Major Cazier and her nose ring last year so you can settle the Facebook guy’s contradictory statements by going to the source herself.

She requests, though, that her name is not revealed, and I trust you will honor her wishes with that.

Thank you both for straightening out all the distortions of truth!

CCT: NRG, please tell me your nose ring removal story.

NRG: I don’t mind talking about what happened at all. I already told the school board ( she actually spoke with administration rather than board members, but didn’t deliberately type the incorrect info!)when I talked to them that I didn’t mind at all. I was just told that if I didn’t (remove the nose ring) while in uniform, I would either receive no points or be out of the battalion.

I had tried at an earlier JROTC meet to get it out, but couldn’t. Major Danny said he had wire cutters but told me I had to do it.

I was scared, so obviously I psyched myself out and thought I couldn’t do it. The rest of the cadets were formed up in another room for battalion pictures, so (Maj. Danny) just cut it real quick.

The only thing I think he did wrong was he took back his new regulation (about not being allowed to wear a nose ring in uniform) not even a week later, but that included all three of our JRTOC instructors.

I had even asked him (to remove the nose ring) after he told me I had to have it out because I didn’t want to do it myself. And when (the school administration and board) found out (that Maj. Danny had removed the nose ring) I let them know I didn’t want him fired and that I had been willing to let him (remove it.)

CCT: So you had a nose ring that couldn’t be removed by hand?

NRG: Yes. That is correct. It was the first piercing that can only be removed with tools.

CCT: And what was used to remove it?

NRG: Wire cutters.

CCT: Where were you when it was removed?

NRG: His room.

CCT: His office area?

NRG: Yeah kinda.

CCT: Did anyone else witness the incident?

NRG: No. Everyone else was already in the gym.

CCT: So he held a wire cutter against the outside of your nose and snipped the wire?

NRG: Yeah, with my permission. I was too scared to do it myself so I asked if he could do it.

CCT: Did he offer a wire cutter to you first, to do it yourself?

NRG: Yes. I tried for a bit but obviously I was nervous.

CCT: I understand. You are doing a great job, by the way.

NRG: I asked if he could do it instead because I trusted him to not cut my nose; I was scared I would because I had never used the tool before.

CCT: Did it hurt coming out?

NRG: No. It hurt more when I was hesitant and tried to do it myself vs. when I asked him and it just clipped apart.

CCT: Did you tell anyone else about the nose ring removal?

NRG: Yeah.

CCT: Who? When?

NRG: Just a few friends right after because I honestly thought it was funny; I did not care much because it was okay.

CCT: Do you think these friends might have told other people about it? Do you think they made the story sound like Major Cazier may have done something wrong?

NRG: There was one specifically who made a big deal about it and that’s when it became a problem.

CCT: Who?

NRG: Shy

CCT: Is Shy her name?

NRG: Shy is her name

CCT: What did she tell people about it?

NRG: She tried to make it about her and threatened lawyers and stuff somehow

Major was really the only instructor that listened. He wasn’t the one I had a problem with at all and I made that clear.

CCT: What month and year did this happen?

NRG: Around November of last year.

CCT: Anything else you want to say?

NRG: nope that’s about all!

CCT: Thank you. I appreciate your willingness to share. If I have further questions, could I use this thread to contact you?

NRG: yes

i may not answer immediately though because i work a lot

CCT: Thank you (moderator) for setting this up.

CCT: So you live away from Ozark now?

NRG: yes. i finished high school earlier. i live just right outside of ozark.

CCT: So you graduated in May?

NRG: i got a GED

but yeah, in may.

CCT: I see. Thank you (Nose Ring Girl)!

NRG: no problem
