New Ozark City Administrator announced soon

OZARK, MO — The Christian County Trumpet has confirmed a new Ozark City Administrator will start July 15, 2024, pending formal contract approval.

The new City Administrator will be announced following the June 17 Board of Alderman meeting, according to a source close to the CCT.

In addition, a permanent Parks and Recreation Director is scheduled to be nominated at the July 1 meeting, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise.

With a new city administrator and Parks and Rec Director, a new Human Resources Director and Assistant City Administrator (ACA) will need to be named to complete the senior leadership team.

Word has it the HR Director and ACA will be appointed by the new City Administrator.

Sources say the HR position shouldn’t take long, but a good working relationship will be essential before determining an ACA.

Leadership Gaps

Mayor Don Currence is notorious for indecisiveness. Click the link below as to why.

Here’s why positions aren’t filled in a timely manner:

These positions should have been made months ago. https://christiancountytrumpet.com/truth-now-meet-the-jimmy-carter-of-ozark-missouri/

Our weak Mayor’s indecisiveness creates unnecessary gaps in leadership.

Some streetwise scholars suggest Mayor Don perhaps uses a Crystal Ball he keeps in a closet at First Baptist Church Ozark. Sources say Mayor Don (MD) has a key to the building, which has, apparently, more than a few closets.

Certain knowledgeable minds even go so far as to suggest “MD”conjures up Former Mayor Rick Gardner, who apparently appears in the murky Crystal and talks to him!

Perhaps Rick Gardner is to Don Currence what Barack Obama is to Joe Biden?

Which may explain why Mayor Don put Jim Metcalf on the Board of Aldermen, instead of a more qualified candidate. (Jim is the only alderman voting in favor of a multifamily development south of East Elementary School.)

Alderman Jim, listen up: We need infrastructure and better roads FIRST, not anxious developers cramming neighborhoods into pastures near schools that need safe roads. Don’t create another CC/22nd Street traffic fiasco!

Yeah, you read it here first.
