Open letter to Ozark R-VI School teachers and staff:
Dear Ozark public school staff:
First of all, thank you.
Thank you for serving one of the fastest growing districts on the planet. Without you, kids would be wandering aimlessly, looking for the cafeteria or the playground, no vision, no direction, no control.
You work hard. You plan. You prepare. You study. You interact. (OK, I’ve run out of reasons to start another short sentence with “You.”) You get the point. Oops, one more slipped out!
The Ozark School District serves more than 5,000 students. Each of those students is represented by a tax paying family and friends. We are all connected. We need you.
We need to ask you a favor.
We, the parents and family members of the students, must now ask you a favor.
Some of you feel intimidated by administration. Yes, Dr. Bauman is a bit of an ass. He’s overbearing and mean at times. He’s a tyrant because he doesn’t know how to lead any other way. He is in a toxic celebrity culture, where his underlings are obligated to do his bidding, or feel the wrath.
It’s similar to some megachurches. They get that way in any large governmental body. Ego driven and belligerent, the Leader sees Himself above the laws of decency and respect.
But the favor we need is for you who feel threatened, intimidated, bullied, harassed, or just uncomfortable with how administration gets in your way is to stand up with one voice and let your voice be heard.
You are not alone.
A parents group OMSDA is available to help you. Your silence only exacerbates the problem. Being silent because you’re afraid of losing your job isn’t fair to all the others who feel similarly.
For your own peace of mind, and for the good of the district’s future, please take a stand this school year. Don’t wait. Begin by contacting the Christian County Trumpet with your story. Tell us what you are dealing with. We’ll take the heat, get it out in the open, and have the public hold the administration accountable. The school board is intimidated, too. They don’t understand the big picture, because they’re programmed by administration led by King Bauman.
It’s time to get you some help in the trenches.
Here’s where you send us your story. ChristianCountyTrumpet@gmail.com
Oh, one more thing. Part of being brave and helping yourself and others is NOT being anonymous. We can only print stories from brave people who identify themselves. Take action. Look back on your life and be proud that you made a difference, instead of suffering in dysfunctional silence and allowing this amazing school district to crumble like the Roman Empire and the current situation in the United States.
Thanks for your courage. We need you. We need each other. We got you!
Sincerely,
Christian County Trumpet
The Christian County TRUMPET appreciates your generosity to keep our operation strong so you will always have a voice!
