Dear Dr. Chris Bauman, administration of the Ozark R-VI School District, and members of the Ozark R-VI Board of Education:
The Christian County Trumpet humbly requests a virtuous compromise for the sake of the Ozark R-VI students, staff, families, administrators and board members.
The Ozark School District has a long reputation of an amazing school in a fast growing community.
We want that reputation to flourish.
We don’t want current or future administrators and board members to feel like wearing riot gear every time they encounter an increasingly disillusioned public.
We want positive cooperation, transparency, and accountability.
The public deserves to believe in their school leaders.
Drawing an example from nearby Nixa, they aren’t filled with covering up embarrassing personnel and health and safety issues. You have the ability to restore our faith in you.
Here’s our proposal:
Set up a fair and equitable hearing for any unresolved personnel issues that have occurred during Dr. Bauman’s time as Superintendent.
The hearings must be acceptable to all parties involved.
Pardon any grievances as far as you can, taking the high and humble road as leaders. Restore teachers to their previous positions that have accurate knowledge of how they were mishandled.
Set a framework to interact with designated teacher or parent representatives to continue ongoing communication and cooperation.
This will alleviate a lot of future satire and negative reporting.
The Christian County Trumpet is a publication to benefit taxpayers and voters in Christian County.
We want to support you.
Please accept this proposal, and reply publicly with your own suggestions for a compromise that would be an ongoing resolution and benefit to the district.
Thank you!
