Couple had to pull kids out of Ozark Schools!

I was with my buddy Anthony Petrosino helping him campaign for Ozark School Board at Sand’s Cafe in Ozark this morning. As usual, the place was bustling with locals.

The law enforcement table on the northwest side of the dining area. School officials on the southwest table. Hardly an empty seat in the house. It’s just north of 8 a.m. on a Friday. School’s out for Spring Break.

The smell of greasy bacon and hot coffee mixes with the chatter of regulars.

Checkered shirts and patriotic ball caps are the norm here. I greet two high school boys, one 16, one 17. I give them a couple discount codes for Papa John’s. They are smart and polite.

On the far northeast corner, a younger couple, fresher than the menu. She’s got a loose brunette braid growing from under her cap; a soccer suburban looking mom; he’s a slick baldy with a keen, intelligent look.

They wave me and Tony over.

“What are you guys doing?” they ask.

I sit with them upon invitation. “I’m introducing my friend Anthony around. He’s running for school board.”

For the next 10 minutes, the couple shares their story. Three kids. “We had to pull them out of Ozark,” they said. “Our son was coming home confused. Every day, something about climate change, or white privilege, on and on.”

Anthony and I listen with shock. Our fears for what American public education has become chilling our hearts.

Indoctrination and propaganda. A left wing agenda. Anti-family. Anti-American. Anti-capitalism. Anti-God. The sadness.

“We loved our school; I was on the PTA,” the mom said. “But we couldn’t keep going along with the damage our children were going through.”

Her husband is an IT specialist. He knows computers. “I showed the school teacher how to access and send me what my son was accessing through the school library. At first they acted like we couldn’t have access to that information. The books were…”

He described the far left pornographic and political LGBTQ ideology.

Anthony and I got chills, for all the wrong reasons. My blood felt cold.

“We were part of JROTC. We know Christina Tonsing. We know Major Danny Cazier. What’s happening is wrong. We had to pull them out. We home school now.”

Anthony spoke. “I’m a Constitutional Conservative. We can’t let this continue. Thank you for sharing your story.”

This story is the tip of the iceberg.

Vote April 4 for the 3 candidates who can swing the toxic culture of our schools back and hold them accountable. Vote Anthony Petrosino, Amber Bryant, and Christina Tonsing.
