A new school board won’t stop tyranny in Ozark. Unless…

OZARK, MO — Three seats are open on the beleaguered Ozark School Board in April. Yet even three new faces on the board won’t topple the tyranny of the current school administration.

Superintendent Dr. Chris Bauman has his minions (and the school board) buffaloed into thinking he has the district’s best interests at heart.

He ponied up a shiny new project with the Ozark Innovative Center (OIC) to brag about expansion (while fighting building engineering demons and leaky roof buckets!)

He looks slick. He eats the microphone at meetings. He roars like a lion.

Just ask Tammy Taylor. She used to work for him, in the district office. She doesn’t anymore. Hmm. Well, maybe don’t ask her, after all.

How about Paula Young? She taught in the district for 23 years. Dr. Bauman was her building principal when she was named Teacher of the Year. Hold up! Paula resigned due to her lack of confidence in administration’s ability to maintain safe and healthy facilities, word has it. Something about mold.

BIG, BAD BAUMAN

Dr. B has his slate of favorites for school board minions. He loves the control he has over almost all of them. Three folks, as of December 9, have filed. We’ll see who else files by the December 27 deadline.

This is like waiting for Christmas, trying to figure out who’ll be on the candidate list!

But, as stated earlier, none of this will matter. Three new folks will appear on the school board come April. Then, they’ll be led back to a sercret chamber. They’ll be indoctrinated into the Secret Club of “Bow to Bauman.”

And, that will be that.

There is a glimmer of hope against school board tyranny!

The disaster can be prevented. Yes, it can!

A glimmer of hope on the horizon against school board tyranny in Ozark lies in three candidates for the April election.

Stay tuned for more…
