SPARTA, MO — A perversion of justice strikes as the former mayor of Sparta weaponized the police force against Christian County Trumpet Publisher Johnny Rooster allegedly because of an article posted she claims cost her the election in April. Curious about the article the former mayor is up in arms about? Read it here!!!

Additionally, Mr. Rooster also posted a YouTube video on his Christian County Trumpet channel that raised questions about a purchase of an old bank building pushed by the former mayor.

“I thought it was a solicitation scam caller,” Rooster told the CCT regarding a call to his personal cell phone while he was at work in Springfield on Friday, June 16. The male caller identified himself as Officer O’Malley of the Sparta police department. “I thought it must be some sort of prank. The name wasn’t O’Malley on the caller ID,” Rooster said. “I asked him what this was about, and he said, ‘harassment.’ “

Rooster immediately hung up. “Whose harassing who now?” he wondered.

Sparta police stop by Rooster’s rural residence in further perversion of justice!

Officer Weston O’Malley left a door hanger on Rooster’s rural Oldfield residence stating Rooster had committed a violation of an ordinance or code. Rooster ignored it.

Rooster received a notice of a certified letter in his mailbox. He ignored that, too.

Then Officer O’Malley returned on a Sunday, June 25, and left a business card on Rooster’s garage door and front door. (Officer O’Malley must be one of those TV cops!) Good thing for O’Malley Rooster doesn’t have a dog like most hicks do!

Rooster wasn’t home. But Rooster found the cop’s business card and later that evening, on a Sunday night, found another missed call from the same number Officer O’Malley used. He looked in his call log under that number and discovered 10 different calls, starting May 16, then June 16, when he got five calls, then the rest came after that date. Rooster hadn’t heard one of them ring in while at home, due to being in a rural area perhaps. He only heard the one on June 16 when he was in Springfield.

Weaponizing local law enforcement?

Weaponizing local law enforcement to claim a personal grievance is a gross misuse of government. Rooster contacted the current Sparta Mayor Misty Holt about the incident. She told him the police chief was the name on the caller ID.

“I don’t know Jenni Davis; I’ve never met her,” Rooster told Holt. “I don’t know anyone on the Sparta police department. I live in Oldfield. I haven’t harassed anyone. The stuff I do is in print for all to see. Using uniforms as a weapon against another citizen is an embarrassment. I’m embarrassed for Jenni Davis and her family. Shame on Sparta for being used this way. The police have no business coming after people for hearsay. I’m not under arrest; I will not be coming in for any questioning.”

We need to stand up for our rights against the perversion of justice

Americans need to stand up for their rights to privacy and due process. I’m not a criminal. I am not under arrest. The police need to stay out of this and Jenni Davis needs to stop using her perceived position of influence to try to silence the media and personal free speech.
