Ozark School Board shames one of their own!

OZARK, MO — The Ozark School Board shames one of their own during the June board meeting. It’s clear the administration, run by Superintendent “His Royal Highness Napoleon” Bauman, is a rubber stamp “yes man/woman” puppet factory.

Napoleon pulls the strings; the puppets on the board respond. Napoleon uses his pet attorney in St. Louis to warn the naughty board members not to stray from protocol.

Here is the gist of the goings on in plain English:

Christina Tonsing ran for school board to bring transparency to the public about the administration after numerous questions were raised about how administration controlled the previous school board.

Christina got elected by hopeful citizens who wanted an accountable administration.

But the admin would have none of that accountability stuff! No, sir! No, way!

So they got their pet school attorney to throw down some crap about board members not being able to speak to the public without other board members present. Never mind that Board President Sarah Adams-Orr has met with the public about the school system without others present…

Anyway, admin didn’t like the idea of the newly elected Christina board member listening to the public about any ideas or suggestions without them being there. Christina, once elected, offered public listening sessions each month.

The admin was aghast.

“You can’t do that,” admin whispered in Board President Sarah’s ear. “Tell her to stop those meetings!”

So Sarah did tell Christina to stop it.

Then they went further. A letter scolding Christina for reaching out for public input was read publicly at the June board meeting. All board members, minus Christina, had dutifully signed it like good little puppets of a Powerful Administration.

Is this the type of rubber stamp school board you want? We hoped for Mark Jenkins, Amber Bryant, and maybe Guy Calloway, when elected in April, to stand with Christina Tonsing and hold Napoleon Admin King and his puppets Sarah Adams-Orr, Patty Quessenberry and Aaron Johns accountable; but nope.

That was too good an idea to be true.

Voters lose again!
