I gladly handed over my money to a stranger

NIXA, MO — I met a stranger at the Nixpo in Nixa on Saturday. On Monday morning, he came over to my house and we became friends. The next day, I gladly handed over my money to his employee.

That’s a good case scenario for me and the business, Precision Door Service. Dan Coday is the franchisee. His Nixa based business is under the Neighborly Company, which puts customer service ahead of sales. You see, sales only happen after a strong commitment to customer satisfaction is in place.

When I signed up for an appointment at Nixpo, naturally I was apprehensive. Would I be ripped off? Gimmicked?

But, my garage door had become more difficult to operate from the wall button near the door to the house. So difficult, in fact, my Lovely Wife couldn’t get it open. And our second garage door hadn’t been operating in years.

I built the house 22 years ago. Things are wearing out.

Over a cup of hot chocolate, Dan explained three options for our garage door situation.

I recommended a good book for him, and on the way out, told him about my newest YouTube channel @hungrypuppet. (Shameless plug) He looked it up right away and laughed. Perfect.

His technician, Gage, was on task for the installation on Tuesday, a rainy, miserable day. But when the work was done, we were all happy to find new friends and recommend a good company.

And the garage doors work great! New sensors, new nylon rollers, a fancy new touch pad and outdoor access code, the works!
