SPARTA, MO — The most enticing entertainment, food and drink venue Sparta has ever experienced is unveiling next month, Muddy Creek Corral and Music Hall!
That’s right, boys and girls, get ready for some serious fun! Look for the big bull statue outside the former Sparta Senior’s Place building across from the old brick Legacy Bank building on Mo. Hwy 14 just west of the east side “Little Casey’s” General Store.
For those out of the area, look it up on GPS at 7502 State Highway 14 E, Sparta, MO 65753.
Seriously, gang, I got goosebumps just writing this article! It’s gonna be that good!

Trust me, I’ve taken a tour of the inside, and it’s above and beyond… You won’t even imagine how a little town like Sparta can enjoy such a big entertainment and recreational food and beverage experience!
Yee haw!
“We are blessed to have such amazing support already,” owner Debra Brewster told the Christian County Trumpet, citing an unexpected surprise of her liquor license approval.
“I was informed the process could take up to 30 days, since they were backed up,” she says. “But then I got a letter with the license just five days afterwards! It’s an answer to prayer!”
Another incredible thanks go to Christian County Health Department, Brewster adds. “We got our health inspection and approval on the spot!” The inspector was there when I, Johnny Rooster, was also in the building recently looking it over. Within a short while, approval was granted. Personally, I’m not surprised. The place is immaculate. Brewster and her husband, Bill, a business consultant, left no details undone.
That’s a significant climb for Brewster, who had more than her share of obstacles in the beginning. The Sparta Board of Aldermen initially turned down a request for a liquor license last year. Read more here. But later, the city leaders pack pedaled and asked Brewster to resubmit her request. Read about that here.
She overhauled the kitchen to handle a hungry crowd with a variety of appetites for quick serve food, as well as making the stage and floor space abundant with musical options for bands, karaoke, dancing, trivia, Bingo, pool, foosball, and more!
The bar and seating area allow for a dance floor and a sports bar meets country feel, something for everyone. All ages are welcome during the day. Hours are from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
The company’s website, www.muddycreekcorral.com claims most Saturday nights will feature live music.
Bands, musical acts, managers, wait and kitchen staff, bartenders, and entertainers are encouraged to reach out to Debra at Debrajbrewster@gmail.com or contact her directly at 417-250-0824.
“With the quick approval of the liquor license, it’s time to hire,” Debra says. “As soon as I get hiring and training, and the Point of Sale installed, we’re looking to open on a Saturday, as early as May 3, and no later than May 17.”
A high energy dance band from Springfield, “MO Candy”, is slated to kick off opening night with a room full of energy.
Come on out, day or night, for casual quick serve food, a wide variety of drinks, and a good time at Sparta’s biggest invention yet, the Muddy Creek Corral and Music Hall.
